About

Discover the art of handcrafted chain making – no soldering required! In this hands-on workshop, students will learn how to create beautiful and functional chains using hand tools and simple techniques. This class is perfect for jewelry enthusiasts of all levels, especially beginners who want to explore metalwork without the need for torches or advanced equipment.

Students will explore different types of chain link styles – such as classic cable, figure-eight, and decorative wrapped links – while mastering skills like wire cutting, forming, texturing, and cold connections. By the end of the session, participants will have completed a unique chain ready to wear as a bracelet or necklace, and gain the confidence to continue exploring chain making on their own.

What you will learn:

♦ Basic wire handling and safety

♦ Forming consistent links by hand

♦ Creating cold connections (e.g., jump rings, wrapped loops)

♦ Chain assembly and finishing techniques

What’s included:

♦ All necessary wire and findings

♦ Use of basic tools provided during class

Who should attend:

♦ Anyone interested in jewelry making! No prior experience required.
