About
Join us to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Executive Order 9066 - which authorized the incarceration of over 100,000 Japanese Americans following hte bombing of Pearl Harbor. War hysteria and racial prejudice fueled efforts from the government to institue a mass detention program based on "military justification". Speakers for this event include academic experts in history and politics from University of Arizona and Arizona State University, who have researched and gained intimate knowledge of these camps.
Join us for a discussion on our new exhibition, Gambatte! Legacy of an Enduring Spirit: Triumphing Over Adversity.
